Short, because there is not much to say. These terms cover this website and the Photo Server software — including its PhotoBackup component — published by Devaya Technologies, a sole proprietorship of Devendra Chouhan, based in the United Arab Emirates.
1. The software
Photo Server, including its PhotoBackup component, is early-access software. It is incomplete, it changes, and it may contain defects. It is not for sale, and any access is by individual arrangement as a limited trial.
You run it on your own hardware, against your own accounts. There is no hosted service, no account with Devaya Technologies, and no server of mine in the path.
2. Your data and your backups
You are responsible for your own backups, your own security, and for verifying that your data is intact. Do not use early-access software as the only copy of anything you care about. Keep the backups you already have while you are trying it.
Backup data is encrypted on your machine with a key held on your machine. If you lose that key, the backup cannot be recovered — not by me, and not by Google. Keeping the key safe, and keeping a copy of it somewhere separate from the machine that generated it, is your responsibility.

3. No warranty
The website and the software are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
There is no guarantee that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted, that it will be fit for your circumstances, that any particular file format will be read correctly, or that a backup will be complete or restorable.
4. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Devaya Technologies is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for loss of data, loss of photographs, corruption of files, or cost of recovery, arising from use of this website or the software.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
5. Intellectual property
The software and this website remain the property of Devaya Technologies. Where the software is provided to you for a trial, it is for your own use. Please do not redistribute or resell it.
Your photographs, videos and other files remain entirely yours. Nothing here claims any right over them, and nothing in the software transfers any.
6. Your responsibilities
- Comply with the laws that apply to you, and with Google's own terms for the account you connect.
- Only archive material you have the right to hold.
- Do not use anything provided here for unlawful purposes.
- Keep your machine, your network and your Google account secure — those are outside my control.
7. Changes
These terms may change. The current version is always the one published at this address, with the date shown at the top.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of [TO FILL IN: emirate] and the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of that Emirate have jurisdiction.
